I’m Ekaterina, an illustrator, and cute things creator from Moscow, Russia.
How long have you been drawing or illustrating?
I used to draw for fun since my childhood. Two years ago I tried digital drawing for the first time, got my first tablet, and since then never stopped drawing and developing my skills.
I believe the style is evolving with us, it's a part of us.
When did you feel like you discovered your style? How did it happen?
I tried out as many different mediums and styles as I could, from pencils to digital, from abstract to semi-realistic. Every time on my experiments I eventually returned to a cute and simple style, that's how I realized this is my style! I believe the style is evolving with us, it's a part of us.
Who or what inspires you to illustrate?
Movies about nature and animals, art fairs, all lovely things, and other illustrators' artworks that I'm surrounded by.
Describe your creative process
1. Get inspired
2. Sketch with a real or digital pencil
3. Choose a color palette
4. Draw the outlines
5. Add color
6. Add shadows and details
Which tools do you use to illustrate? Which one do you use the most?
I use my iPad and Procreate app most of the time. I also like doing sketches with pencils and then finishing them in Procreate.
